2014. március 31., 16:41Megérkeztek a tyúkok a La Providence udvarára!

Elkészült önkéntesek egyik mini-projektje! Befejeződtek a La Providence árvaház udvarára épülő tyúkudvar munkálatai és már be is költöztek az új "lakók".

Az Afrikáért Alapítvány célul tűzte ki, hogy az általunk üzemeltetett intézmények önfenntartóak legyenek. Számunkra nagyon fontos, hogy a La Providence árvaház és a College Othniel iskola idővel olyan központtá alakuljon ki, amely képes saját magát ellátni, nem szorul külső segítségre és még jövedelemszerző tevékenységet is folytat. Jelenlegi önkénteseink az utóbbi hónapokat azzal töltötték, hogy mini-projekteket hajtottak végre a fenti cél elérése érdekében.

A faiskola mellett nekiláttak egy tyúkudvar építésének is, amelynek munkálatai nem csak, hogy befejeződtek, de a 20 tojó már be is költözött új otthonába. A friss tojásokkal a gyermekek étrendjét fogjuk változatosabbá tenni és törekszünk arra, hogy az állattartással kapcsolatos ismereteiket is bővítsük és felelősségtudatot adjunk árváinknak, így a jövőben maguk is képesek lesznek hasonló feladatokat megvalósítani és fenntartani.
